MODERN BAKERY MOSCOW opens up bakery market in the Russian regions

Demand for bakery products and –technologies keeps rising in the countries of Eastern Europe and Asia. The ever-growing number of trade visitors from remote Russian regions to MODERN BAKERY MOSCOW endorses this substantial interest. For meeting the industry’s needs, OWP Ost-West-Partner- GmbH, organizer of Russia’s leading specialist tradefair for bakery equipment and food ingredients, will present a Russian region at MODERN BAKERY MOSCOW 2008, taking place from October 13th – 16th for the 14th time.

Due to high economic growth rates and rising purchasing power in Russia, the Russian bakery industry is increasingly investing in new production facilities and starts using ingredients of superior quality. So far this was mainly the case in Moscow and St. Petersburg. However, now Russian regions are catching up. They are in need of international cutting edge technology – a growth market which international companies wish to open up, too.

For this reason MODERN BAKERY MOSCOW will from 2008 on annually present a partner region with above-average growth perspectives of its bakery market, thus facilitating exhibitors’ market entry in the Russian regions. Experts of the Russian Bakery Association, the Russian State Bakery Institute, the Union of Flour Mills and Cereals Plants and the Association of Russian Agricultural Associations will select the fi rst partner region in May.

Approximately 200 international and Russian market leaders use MODERN BAKERY MOSCOW as the platform for presenting new technologies and trends, analyzing the Russian market, meeting business partners and forging new contacts. The international trade fair also treats the topics of confectionery, shopfi tting and bio products. Furthermore an attractive expert programme awaits the expected 15,000 visitors.
