lm_stradaLa Marzocco presented its prototype Strada at Out Of The Box, La Marzocco’s “off-the-show-floor” HOST event, held in Milano on October 23 & 24, 2009. In addition to La Marzocco’s distinctive features like its saturated brew groups, stainless steel boilers and PID system, the Strada presents individual everything. The Strada concept: one pump, one pre-heater, one mixing valve, one coffee boiler... for each brew group.

• Final inputs on design & ergonomics were collected at the Out Of The Box Event.
• The Strada will be available in 2010.
• Available in 2 & 3 group models with high legs.
• Presented in a stainless steel body.
• Side panels in casted aluminum with crystal glass inserts.
• Painted black details (gauges, group caps, etc.).
• Two, lever controlled, cool touch steam wands.

STRADA TECHNOLOGY

An electronic paddle controls the pump motor speed, providing variable pressure control at your fingertips. Consequently, all variables of extraction are manually operated by the barista. Moreover, the Strada will include a record feature for programming and reproducing pressure profiles.

With the Strada’s gear pump technology, you regulate the pump motor speed of each brew group. Its compact dimensions allow for each group to have a dedicated pump and for the pumps to be mounted inside the machine.

The Strada introduces a dedicated pump, boiler and pressure gauge for each brew group. You benefit by having real time coffee boiler pressures. Moreover, the pressure gauges help to indicate any inconsistencies in the grind, dose or tamp.

The Strada’s single and double stainless steel portafilters feature easy to clean snap-on spouts. Produced without plating, these innovative portafilters improve sanitation. A counter stand has been integrated into the mold for improved tamping.

The Strada improves ergonomics with a larger working area thanks to its exposed groups and wider drain tray, its jog wheel programming interface, cool touch steam wands, back-lit display & gauges, and to its minimal design that facilitates interaction between the barista and customers.
